DIN 186 T-shaped
DIN 186 is a German standard (GOST-13152) that establishes basic technical requirements for machine-machined bolts. Very often, metal fasteners of this type are used in heavy engineering, instrument building, and machine tool construction to connect individual elements of heavy equipment, metalworking machines, aggregates, and production devices in industrial sectors. In construction – for mounting steel profiles, facade substructures and structures, thus ensuring reliable fixation of all elements.
As a rule, such bolts by their design have a T-shaped cap/head, which is conveniently installed in a machine groove, their size ranges from 3 to 20 cm, the thread can be full/incomplete. For greater fixation during the installation process and to avoid unwinding, the bolt has a square headrest. In addition, the DIN 186 machine tool groove bolt has a special thread in the end part of the pin, which makes it possible to fix it with a nut.
The main characteristics of this product that you should pay attention to when choosing are the quality of materials (coated steel or stainless steel A2/A4), strength class (from 5.6 to 8.8) and metric thread size (M6-M48). In some cases, galvanic galvanization of bolts is done to increase their resistance to harmful external influences.
Large enterprises of Japan, Germany, Sweden import these products with high technical indicators.
