Self-locking lock nut DIN 980V, hexagonal. The fastener has a modified body that is crimped on both sides so that the hole inside has an elliptical shape. This makes the DIN 980 V nut suitable for use in areas subject to high vibration loads, for forming threaded assemblies and for loosening without the use of spring washers.

The all-metal DIN 980 V self-locking nut (ISO 7042.10513) is made of 8.0; 10.0 steel with a zinc-coated finish and is also galvanized.
