The sealed rivet is a core-break rivet that provides a high quality and reliable fixation. The fully hermetically sealed housing creates a gas-tight and watertight seal at pressures up to 3500 kPa, even under vibration loads. This is achieved by holding the head of the rod inside the body of the rivet.
To avoid leakage of liquids or steam, proper installation is required, which means drilling the hole accurately. This is possible with a slot, drill or laser (on production lines). The actual installation of the sealed rivet is done with a rivet gun, pneumatic-hydraulic tool or a screwdriver attachment.
The hermetic rivet has 3 types of heads: countersunk, semicircular, wide, a wide range of diameters, and various types of materials used for fastening: stainless steel, aluminum, steel, copper, etc.
