A petal rivet is a special type of fastener designed to connect hard surfaces with low-strength or soft materials.

The head of the rod has special edges that cut the rivet body into four petals during installation. The curls pull and bind the materials together. This makes petal riveting ideal for fastening very soft and brittle materials, preventing crushing and fracturing.

The petal rivet has a wide grip range from 0.5 mm to 40 mm and can be used in non-standard holes.

The core of this type of rivet is made of steel and the head is made of aluminum. These types of materials allow the fasteners to be used in environments with different temperature fluctuations.

A special tool is used to install the petal rivet – a cordless or mechanical riveter.
