Self-tapping screws (screws) according to DIN 7976 have a C-shaped (sharp end) and an F-shaped (flat end), and are commonly used for sheet metal and plastics.
This version has a hexagonal head, so it is designed to be screwed in with a standard wrench or special tool.
As its name suggests, this type of DIN 7976 screw forms its own thread along its entire length and is therefore installed in a pre-drilled hole.
Analogous to DIN 7976:
ISO 1479 – Hexagonal head screws.
Marking
d – thread diameter
k – height of the hex head
s – size of the turnkey head
y – length of the tip
