The DIN 7983 self-tapping steel screw has a semi-countersunk head and a Phillips slot that are designed for fast installation and assembly.
The optimum combination of tapered thread parameters enables easy DIN 7983 screwing and is primarily used for fixing thin sheet material.

Analogs of DIN 7983:

ISO 7051 – self-tapping screws with a semi-countersunk head and a Phillips slot. Unlike DIN 7983, the screw head angle is 90°.
ISO 14587 – self-tapping screws with a semi-countersunk head and Torx slot.
GOST 10620-80 – self-tapping screws with a semi-countersunk head and blunt end for metal and plastic of accuracy class B with a nominal thread diameter of 2.5 to 8 mm.
GOST 11651-80 – self-tapping screws with a semi-countersunk head and pointed end for metal and plastic of accuracy class B with a nominal thread diameter of 2.5 to 8 mm.

Marking
d – thread diameter
d k – diameter of the countersunk head
k – height of the concealed part of the head, max.
f – height of the convex part of the head
PH, PZ – the size of the cross bit
ISR – Torx bit size
y – length of the tip
