The O-ring (washer) of copper standard DIN 7603 A is used as a sealing gasket in threaded detachable connections of high-pressure units and machines where the use of polymer and rubber gaskets is not possible.

The ring is placed between the threaded elements and the connection is tightened with a locksmith’s tool with such force that the gasket is plasticized, which will eventually ensure the tightness of the connection.
