The DIN 440 washer has a much larger diameter than the DIN 125 washer and is used for wood products, which is why it is called a furniture washer. Due to its oversized shape, the fastener distributes the load over the surface of the workpiece.
The DIN 440 enlarging washer (furniture) is manufactured in accordance with GOST 6958-78 and the international standard ISO 7094 and has two types of holes: type R-round, type V-c square. It is used in conjunction with threaded studs, screws and bolts.
The DIN 440 washer is also known as a “body washer” because it is often used for assembling wooden car bodies.
