Grover washer, spring DIN 127 complies with GOST 6402-70, is named after the British inventor John Grover. It is a metal round washer with a cut, the edges of which are in different planes. This washer structure helps to protect the threaded connection from self loosening under high loads.
The material used for the manufacture of Grover washers is zinc-coated spring steel DIN 267-26, stainless steel A1-70, A4-70, A4-80. Washers are also made of brass, bronze and other non-ferrous metal alloys.
There are times when Grover’s puck is not effective. This is the case when the workpiece surfaces are very hard or have left-handed threads.
The Grover washer DIN 127 is used in the fields of instrumentation and mechanical engineering as a locking element and is installed between the surface of the part and the nut.
