DIN 84 and GOST 1491-80 are standards for screws with a cylindrical flat head and a straight slot.
DIN 84 screws are manufactured in the same accuracy class A with full and partial threads. The screw head has a slightly trapezoidal shape, in contrast to the precisely cylindrical screw head according to GOST 1491-80. Screws can be used in both mechanical engineering and instrumentation.
Screws of GOST 1491-80 are produced in two accuracy classes A and B. GOST 1491-80 differs from DIN 84 by a much wider range of sizes. The screws can be used for assembling metal products in construction and machine building.
