DIN 934 and GOST 5927-70 are standards for hex nuts with large metric threads.
Nuts according to DIN 934 are available in a wider range of sizes (M1 – M160) than according to GOST 5927-70 (M1 – M48).
The GOST 5927-70 standard does not contain the dimensions M1.2, M7, M33, M39, M45, which are included in DIN 934.
All nuts according to GOST 5927-70 are manufactured to accuracy class A. Nuts according to DIN 934 up to M16 have accuracy class A, and above M16 – B.
Nuts of both standards can be used in conjunction with bolts, screws, studs, and lock washers to secure fasteners. Large diameter nuts DIN 934 can be used for the assembly of large metal products and structures.
